ReGrasp: Empowering Clinicians with User-Friendly FES Technology

Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) has long been recognized as an evidence-based intervention in neurorehabilitation, supporting recovery of motor function in individuals with conditions such as stroke, spinal cord injury, and other upper motor neuron disorders. While its benefits are well documented — including improved motor control, reduced muscle atrophy, and enhanced neuroplasticity — FES has often faced barriers to wider clinical adoption due to its complexity, time requirements, and learning curve.

At Rehabtronics, we’ve taken those challenges seriously. Our ReGrasp Clinician System was designed from the ground up to remove the practical hurdles clinicians face when integrating FES into busy rehabilitation workflows — making it easier, faster, and more effective to deliver high-quality care.

Designed for Multi-Patient, In-Clinic Use

The ReGrasp Clinician System was built specifically for multi-patient, in-clinic use. Simple to use and set-up, the ReGrasp Clinician System is the ideal tool for physicians and therapists to use with patients to regain hand function while undergoing hand rehabilitation therapy. Key features include:

  • A mobile cotton electrode used to easily identify optimal stimulation points on the forearm
  • Three independent stimulation channels with hydrogel electrodes that can be placed on optimal stimulation points for 1) hand-open, 2) hand-close, and 3) thumb-close on the forearm
  • Customizable stimulation parameters to tailor therapy to individual needs and tolerance
  • Pre-set therapeutic stimulation protocols to enable timed clinical sessions with ease
  • Wireless FES stimulation control via button trigger, allowing consistent ADL grasp-release therapy with your patients

Streamlining Workflow & Maximizing Impact

We understand that time and staffing are limited resources in most clinical settings. That’s why we’ve prioritized ease of use and workflow integration in the ReGrasp Clinician System. Setup and takedown can be done within minutes, and the ReGrasp Patient System allows patients to maximize the impact of their rehabilitation by continuing FES usage outside the clinic, in a home or in-patient setting.

Built for Evidence-Based Practice

ReGrasp is grounded in over a decade of research into FES and neuroplasticity. Studies have shown that task-specific electrical stimulation enhances cortical reorganization and supports meaningful motor recovery — especially when paired with patient intent. ReGrasp allows clinicians to harness this effect in a user-friendly format that complements other therapeutic approaches.

Training and Support That Make the Difference

We’re committed to clinician success, which is why every ReGrasp Clinician System comes with:

  • Onboarding and training support, including video tutorials and demos
  • Access to a comprehensive clinician manual and quick-start guides
  • Ongoing technical support and consultation when needed

A Versatile Tool for Modern Neurorehab

Whether used as a standalone intervention or as part of a broader upper limb rehab program, ReGrasp empowers clinicians to deliver high-value care that’s both efficient and effective.
